Rudy before and after his surgery

Rudy came to us in early December with severe dental issues and a blocked tear duct. We apologize that his "before" photo is disturbing, but it's important to see what can happen when teeth issues go untreated. Rudy went to see a specialist in Toronto within days of coming to the rescue and underwent surgery to correct his teeth and have his tear duct flushed.

His foster mom reports that he is a bundle of energy now that he is feeling better. When he first arrived he sat still most of the time, likely because he had a lot of pain. We named him Rudy because he is our Christmas miracle. Rudy will undergo surgery again for further work on his teeth and to be neutered. He still has a long way to go before we can say he is fully recovered, if ever, but he is well on his way and feeling much, much better.
